"April showers bring May flowers," so here's a compilation of things that'll make you think of Spring all the time.
Micellar Water: So you may have heard of this new product that’s been praised for its facial cleaning abilities. This is the stuff of the gods, and they sure like to help a sister (or brother) out with skin problems.
ka-BROW! (Benefit Cosmetics): If eyebrow gel could sing, it would be a sweet melody. ka-BROW! fills in brows precisely and naturally, giving an effortless look, as if the five minute brow was an actual thing.
Smoothie Bowls: These colorful bowls of heaven have gotten me through many a morning, ranging from chocolate PB to mango-pineapple flavors. Garnish them with some granola and fruit, and you’re set.
Matcha Green Tea Lattes: Sometimes, coffee doesn’t agree with me so I opt for green tea which packs a similar punch for caffeination. Mix it with milk (or almond milk for those lactose-free kids like me) and what do you get? Spring in a cup.
Tea: Recently I’ve been winding down before bed with a good cup of tea, preferably green. It’s soothing, and my stomach thanks me for it even when I wake up in the morning.
"Road Trip" Playlist on Spotify: Recently, I endured an eight hour car ride to Florence, OR, and I couldn’t have done it without these chill vibrations to sing along to/stare out the window to in the car.
Bishop Briggs: If you haven’t heard of this hardcore soloist, Bishop is incredible. Her songs have an alternative feel to them with mysterious beats, and her unique voice is sure to have you jamming to the beat of a different drum.
Safe Haven: This album is fresh from Ruth B, the artist behind the hit “Lost Boy”. Her voice melts into each line which carries the album and causes the listener to feel... unexpected emotions.
Beachy Hair: Waving my hair is my favorite part of my morning routine. Just take your curler and loosely wrap a piece of hair around the barrel twice and hold for only five seconds, leaving the end straight for a more undone, crimped look.
Less Makeup: I haven’t worn actual foundation for a month straight now and I’m feeling and looking great! I like to put on a few coats of mascara, fill in my brows, and apply a little coral coloured tint to my cheeks and nose to embrace the oncoming summer.
Floral/Nature Patterns: I love mixing and matching patterns! I’ve been wearing a lot more florals, leaves, and brightly colored prints in May. They really uplift my mood in a fun, expressive way.
Salt Lamp: Buying a salt lamp was the best thing I could have invested in this month. The salts contain minerals that soothe the mind and heal the body. The rock also adds a cool aesthetic to any room.
London Candle (from Bath & Body Works): This candle combines tea and lemon flavours that fuse together to create a fresh smell resembling a cold iced tea.
