Gabriella Cohen to Perform Sophomore Album “Pink Is the Colour of Unconditional Love” at the Moroccan Lounge

October 15, 2018

A quick listen into the melancholic popscapes of “Baby” and you might recognize the dreamy fuzz-soaked melody of Gabriella Cohen, the Australian indie pop artist whose sophomore album Pink Is the Colour of Unconditional Love released this past summer in June. After taking the stage on a worldwide tour, Cohen has set her sights on Los Angeles, CA, and will be performing at the Moroccan Lounge on October 16th this Tuesday.

Her newest album, self-produced alongside the talents of Kate “Babyshakes” Dillon, has embraced the same dreamy indie pop melodies of her highly acclaimed debut record Full Closure and No Details, capturing its sound with a refreshing and unconventional twist--finalized while on a boat in England, the Coast of Portugal, the mountains of Southern Italy, the cafes of Mexico, and even, Venice Beach, Los Angeles. NPR describes her album as "Sly, playful pop with a biting edge."

Tickets are currently on sale for $12 at the Moroccan Lounge and will feature performances by Gabriella Cohen, Jess Cornelius, Malcolm Oliver Perkins, and King Khan & The Shrines.

Be sure to check out her Los Angeles show on October 16th, and listen to her newest album Pink Is the Colour of Unconditional Love on all streaming platforms.
